I am tired. I had a very enjoyable 12th Night last night, and received a nice flower favor from his Majesty the King. I chatted with old friends, enjoyed the fine hospitality (read good food) of Joyce's party, danced a peasant dance with her Majesty the Queen, took photos, talked about CIRGA and other minor gossip, and overall had a good time ( Read more... )

I am very happy right now. I actually managed to cut out, sew up, trim, clip, turn and press one whole garment piece in just a few hours. It was a simple partlet, with just wool fashion fabric and silk taffeta lining. It still needs hooks and eyes hand sewn into place, but it is otherwise DONE ( Read more... )

I have been busy the past few days working on a Tudor shirt for a client. He wants the full Henry VIII outfit like in this portrait from 1536, sans the heavy overgown, which I think I mentioned before, but I can't find the post. The shirt for a friend is done, and we will be heading out the door to mail it to him overnight. Don't worry satyr69, it will be at your hotel tomorrow, unless either the USPS office mucks up, or the hotel does.
