Yesterday we saw what was probably the worst performance of Mamma Mia that I have ever witnessed. I've seen the show seven times, not counting the many times I watched our production of it. I have seen it professionally done, as in New York and London. I have seen it in Sacramento, both as a local production and as a touring show.

I just made an appointment to have Minnie fixed next Friday. I'm thinking that we will probably have to board her for a few days, just to make sure the kittens leave her alone enough for her to heal. Tonight is the last concert in the park. Supposedly, the cast from Hair is supposed to open the show. We will see... I hope they have let Super Trooper know about it. We are having roasted chicken salad (either as a salad or as a roll up), fruit salad and dessert, along with wine, water and Prosecco. Slowly starting to wake up from a very eventful evening. Last night we headed up to Sacramento to see Arrival - an ABBA tribute band. What made this different was that they were backed by the Sacramento Symphony. A few years ago, eight or thereabout, I became totally besotted with ABBA after seeing the ABBA-tribute band, Waterloo, performed. Little did I know that a few months later, we would be recruited to work for the band and get to see many, many performances. Then we saw Mamma Mia and something just clicked.

So last night was the final concert in the park and it was the slot that Waterloo held for eleven years. When the band disbanded last year, I figured it was over. No, along came Super Trooper. After what was probably one of the best concerts they've ever played, John announced he was pulling the plug and Waterloo was no more. It was very sad and there were tears, but talk about going out on a high note.

Yeah, sad, but is good.
