i'm going to bed to read Hogfather which i didn't think i had rad, but i now know (most of the way through it) that i have read, but i can't remember how it ends, so at least i'll enjoy it.

Am reading Hogfather (again i think - i don't remember reading it the first time to be honest...)

Have finally finished Aldous Huxley's "Island". A tedious read but full of interesting concepts and philosophies. Contrasts very nicely with "Cyberia" which i'm also reading which i got from the girl's house. Similarities about the positive use of drugs, cultural advances from altered states, thru drug use, mediation etc etc. Real thoughts are ( Read more... )

Apparently the USA has something called the "Patriot Act" - part of this is that the CIA can subpoena something like the sales records of a bookstores reader's club to find out what people have been reading. One particular bookstore trashed this information to avoid ever being subpoenaed ( Read more... )
