His recent rant regarding Universe

This is what I take exception to:

It's been a good day for the England cricket team so far. ‘Nick Ballard’ actor Jan Rubes dead at 89

I remember him from SG-1, but it wasn't until I read the obit, that I learned Rubes was actually in one of my favourite movies, Witness. He played Eli Lapp who said the line that has stuck in my head for as long as I can remember ( Read more... )

Watching the SG-1 episode of Urgo has reminded me how much I loved that show. It makes me want to dig out the dvds and start over watching them. I love the Sam/Jack little shippy bits, and the Jack and Daniel interaction. The "row, row, row your boat' scene is brilliant ( Read more... )

When I was little, I remember my mother saying that Australian actors used to show up in show after show. She used to watch The Sullivans and so when I began watching Neighbours she recognised some faces. For example, Mrs Mangel in Neighbours was Mrs Jessop in The Sullivans.

Just got done responding to some feedback...

So far, I've had six folks leave feedback for my newest Sam/Jack fic. (It's over on matt1969, btw *g*) All six of them made mention of my inclusion of our Paul, and 4 of them said they were glad/happy to see him included.

I suspect he's one of the most popular recurring characters in the Stargate franchise *g*

During one of BSG's commercial breaks, there was a preview for Stargate: Universe.

If it hadn't been for recognising Robert Carlyle, I wouldn't have recognised the franchise. I'd presumed the premise was slightly similar to Star Trek: Voyager.

If it still is, it's a hell of a lot darker.

This amuses me greatly: Plans underway for MacGyver movie, especially this bit:
