Going into our class at the Y tonight, one of the women said to me, "My friend is going to Vancouver next week."
Hoping she meant Van, BC, I replied enthusiastically, "Oh, that's nice." I did wonder why she was telling me, but I was willing to share that the one time I visited the city I really liked it.
"Yeah," she continued. "She's hoping to visit the Stargate set."
Lightbulb moment! I was wearing Stargate SG-1 tee-shirt.
"Ooh, the ramp is that steep. Is it her first time?"
"No, I think she's been to Gatecon as well."
Halfway through, on the walk between the cardio section to the weights, we continued to discuss the actors and how super-nice they are. Naturally, we got to talking about RDA. My comment of, "Well, who wouldn't want to go to a convention to see Richard Dean Anderson?" coincided with our arrival.
Chris, our weights trainer, looked at us, and said, "Stargate?" He then went on to say he preferred Atlantis, which led to a mini discussion about Universe.
By then, the three other women in our group were looking at us weirdly so we figured we better shut up and get going!
