I wrote my very first creepypasta the other day! Secret Youngstown!

I normally dislike writing microfiction, but I actually had fun with this. I might have to try writing some more.

I made a Facebook profile for the protagonist of my short story as a joke, because the fiction writing professor is obsessed with Facebook.  I sent it to him last night, and this morning he sent me an e-mail full of exclamation points and said I was getting extra credit for it.

I decided what I'm going to do for my honors project in fiction writing.  I'm going to take a fairy tale and retell it in as many different ways as possible, experimenting with various writing styles.  I'm going to do a modernization for sure, and I'll attempt a micronarrative, and maybe poetry.  I'm playing around with a bunch of other ideas as ( Read more... )

I spent the day at college with Dan. I couldn't get Internet access there either, but I did get some writing done while he was in class. I feel accomplished. Also tired, since I had to get up at 5:40 to get there on time. His campus is so nice compared to mine. There are a ton of computer labs and study areas, and people actually use them.
