Back at school.  No more eye emergencies since the last time I posted.  I think I should avoid Chicago in the future.  I just can't visit the place without having some sort of medical crisis.  Although this was not nearly so bad as last time (eight people, including myself, coming down with a stomach bug on a choir trip).

After I made that post I talked to my mom and we're pretty sure I'm having ocular migraines.  She used to get them, although hers presented differently.  It makes a lot of sense, and I'm much less worried now.  Still can't see right, but at least I think I know why.  I'm going to my eye doctor over spring break, so I'll know for sure then.

I had a lot of fun on my trip.  The sessions were okay--some of them were useful and interesting, and others were basically literary criticism or deadly boring.  I was mostly excited to be hanging out with other writers.  I don't spend enough time with my English major friends--I feel so much closer to them now after spending three days together.  My roommates (who I'm not close to) spent the trip shopping for clothes and purses.  When my friends and I went shopping we spent most of our time in the Lego store, the Disney store, and the three-story Borders.  I love that Borders so much.  I could live there.

I would write a recap of the trip, but it wouldn't be very interesting.  I just had a great time hanging out with my friends and doing English stuff, and I'm so glad I decided to go.  I needed this break.
