So we're doing new and exciting fun things with my body (not) as for the past 3 months that time of the month has also brought with it cold like symptoms. Because why the hell not, eh? Not like it stops me, though it does slow me down just a wee bit.

Knitting:
I've skipped a couple weeks because I was so distressed over the lack of progress I feel that I'm making. I've finally reached that point where one repeat takes 20 minutes and it's just sad making. On the plus side I'm nearly done transitioning to color 5 and I've less than 40 rows to go.

Friday night we had dinner with some friends, who also happen to work on the con. It was a lovely night with non con related talk, a little SCC Winter Event talk, delicious Mexican food, alcohol drinks, new puppy friends, and relaxing. It really was delightful and a lovely treat ( Read more... )

So ... Friday. Friday was gaming and I finally got to play Geodesic Gnomes. The game was fun ... more fun by falling head over heels in crush with one of the guys there. Thanks to Meetup I found a costuming group so I signed up. Tuesday was the first meeting I could attend and Miss Kid asked to go with. She went with me to work and afterward we went to the cafe to await the start of the meeting. We split a brownie and chatted.
