Weekend before a Con AKA Oh Holy Carp!
So ... Friday. Friday was gaming and I finally got to play Geodesic Gnomes. The game was fun ... more fun by falling head over heels in crush with one of the guys there. We ended up at Ihop afterward and spent hours talking. Kid fell asleep but while she was awake he was really good about including her and Lynn, despite the sparks we were both trying to manage.
Saturday was a morning of hurriedly handling more last minute con stuffs. Miss Kid was super reasonable about why I was taking so long to get myself together so we could hit up the zoo like she'd asked. It was a good, if incredibly hot, day at the zoo. We tried once more to find all the images in the Africa section but they've torn down some of it during construction. We loved the lego section, that was pretty awesome. I have pictures if I can get around to uploading them.
Sunday she and I ran off to the end of the month spinning meeting at Sugar Land Yarn Company. I got to hang out and do a little spinning on my spindle. It's fun! It's going to be 'more' fun when I have my wheel. :squee: Miss Kid finished her washcloth and is thinking about what she wants to do next.
That evening we went up to City Center and watched the Troopers run around playing with the kids. Well, Lynn and Kid did. I was inside with Con Staff and one of the agents. Whee!! Lots of fun, lots of plotting and planning.
I'd been talking off and on with the crush and we were both feeling it. Monday he mentions that he's got all evening free and invited me to dinner. Yay!! Indian for dinner and it was delicious. Then we went back to his house and talked about ... damn near everything. He's never been in a poly relationship and we talked a bit about how Lynn and I handle it, what the expectations would be, things like that. There was also the typical offshoots of various things. ... And kissing. Kissing was very nice! :grin:
And now I run back to work and pretend I've got it all together for con this weekend. Emails and texts are flying back and forth with last minute changes.
