Knitting:
I didn't think I'd gotten all that far with the hat ... until I loaded the picture. I'm actually pretty happy with the progress. I've already started the decreases so I should have this one finished really soon, which is good since I have more comissions lined up. Woo!

So, I finally got word on Quicksilver. The head gasket needs replacing and that will run at least $1200. Plus I'd have to tow it to the new place that would do that work. On top of that, the bottom half of the motor would still be 14 years old and could go at any time ( Read more... )

Friday night we had dinner with some friends, who also happen to work on the con. It was a lovely night with non con related talk, a little SCC Winter Event talk, delicious Mexican food, alcohol drinks, new puppy friends, and relaxing. It really was delightful and a lovely treat ( Read more... )
