Every other day we have nice weather. Seriously, we've been alternating between sunny/warm and rainy/cold all week.

This is so weird. Everyone else everywhere is complaining about the heat, and I keep having to go outside or put on a sweater because I can't take the air conditioned splendor any longer. Wow. My car is stuck like a stuck thing. I just spent almost an hour and a half trying to get it out, and yeah. I don't think it's going anywhere until spring. Or possibly Sunday, when it looks like it'll be above 32 and sunny ( Read more... )

Took my camera with me when I finally drug my ass outside to shovel, as it's a lot more fun when I can snap a picture every time I see something pretty. Which was about every minute, as I have a thing for low saturation landscapes.

Real quick, anyone else in Cincinnati still without power? I am, and am typing this at the library, with a little thingy telling me I have SIX minutes left in my session. Am very bored. Neighborhood is covered in trees. So if you want to communicate, call me.

The main advantage of working in Air-conditioned Splendor is that it makes the 90+ degrees outside feel good. This means, hopefully, that I'll spend far less time this summer declaring that I shall certainly melt and die while looking pitiful.

Well, here's a fun fact from my mom. Today is the day for St. Frances of Rome, patron saint of pious motorists*.

Which, looking outside at the blankets of white that's where the road should be, is rather appropriate.

*Is there anything the Catholics don't have a saint for?
