Wow. My car is stuck like a stuck thing. I just spent almost an hour and a half trying to get it out, and yeah. I don't think it's going anywhere until spring. Or possibly Sunday, when it looks like it'll be above 32 and sunny.
The mailman came by when I was out there, was very concerned, and tried to give me advice. Unfortunately, it was all along the lines of 'have you tried using this thing that you don't have?' Like, yes, sand would be lovely. And would definitely help with traction. But I have neither sand nor any way of getting sand. I did steal some salt off the road that hadn't been scattered so much as dumped in a pile, and kind of sprinkled it around my tires. That might help eventually. What I really need are a bunch of strong people in shoes with good traction to push me out.
