Last night I finally got around to seeing The Muppets.  Today I have spent a few hours watching Muppet-related things.

I really liked it! ( Not terribly spoiler-y, but, y'know. )

So.  Just saw the trailer for this year's Doctor Who special: "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe."  (link includes the mini-scene for the charity auction, which was hilarious, and now I'm wondering why it's the straight showrunner who plays up the Doctor's attractiveness)

Amidst all the mess, I have to say, there has been a bright side.

I got me a fractal generator.

(I'm thinking about doing a banner/background with fractals. It so fits the theme.  I've got this gorgeous Julia set I did off a website...)

Kristin and I discovered a place in-town that sells specialty, rare, and regional soda.  They have over sixty kinds of rootbeer, for starters.  Some brands were familiar: Jelly Belly soda, which never really caught on, and Jones Soda, which you can get anywhere now.  But I also saw an honest-to-goodness can of Tab, which I am almost too young to ( Read more... )
