I had to read The Catcher in the Rye in English class in tenth grade. I absolutely fucking hated it.

Don't ask me why, but I have been reading Fifty Shades of Grey, and GOOD GOD IS THIS BOOK TERRIBLE. Seriously, just badly written, awful characters, terrible implications. This book is about the fact that, really, our brains are pretty damn bad at predicting what will make us happy, and it explains why that is.
