It occurred to me that I should actually post something here that ISN'T, in fact, a drunk post, so here I am.
Life in Iowa has been treating me well. The cats seem to like it; Sidney's still a snobby asshole and Donna's still a total demon, so, you know. Business as usual there. They've both lost a lot of weight on the raw diet, which is awesome.
I'm still saving up to get the rest of my crap out here, lol. Almost there, though. Hopefully sometime in August that will be doable. (Although it will depend on whenever Sylvia is available, too, so idk. Soon, though, I think!)
My job here is going ridiculously well. It's kind of hilarious, actually--they keep having me do more things! (Cashiering, scanning clerk, training cashiers, eventually service desk...) It's kind of becoming a running joke that I'm soon going to know how to do every job in the store. ALL THE JOBS! I don't mind, though. Monies are always appreciated, and it's nice to be liked, heh. (Basically, I have half a brain and show up when I'm supposed to and actually do my job, which is the winning combination, don'tcha know. =P)
GO AWAY BIG BANGS IF I DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR EXISTENCE THEN CLEARLY YOU AREN'T CREEPING UP ON ME OKAY!
THAT'S HOW IT WORKS, RIGHT?
(asjdkhasdkjskjdsa I need to write. Stupid characters, being stubborn bastards.)
Currently reading The Lover's Dictionary (and, well, like four other books, as per my usual, but I want to specifically mention this one) on Geena's recommendation and oh my god it is SO GOOD. I'm reading it really slowly, trying to savor it, lol. I'm really liking how gender neutral it is--you can see the couple being any combination of genders, which I find really cool. And then there are just turns of phrase that are really, really beautiful and just...gah, so good. Not even halfway done and I already love it.
In conclusion, have some pictures.
I think that about sums it up!
