Yes, I am back at work, so that I can rest up from my vacation. What a whirlwind! We did some sightseeing, we did. I was pretty proud of myself, navigating both the Gothenburg and Stockholm mass transit systems with two guests in tow. Well, this morning my cousin and her husband (C & L) arrived from Milwaukee. They will be staying with us for two weeks. She's a fellow knitter, so we will be scoping out some knitting shops along with the other sight-seeing that we will be doing. We will probably head up to Gävle for a couple of days to see H. On Friday, L's daughter, A, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I don't have all of the vital statistics, but I do know that he weighed 5 1/4 lbs (2.4 kg). They did do an emergency c-section, as he was under stress during the birthing process, but after some tests, they couldn't find anything wrong. Yay! Yesterday morning I left home and 1 bus and 3 trains later, I arrived at E & S's house in Malmö just in time for Disney cartoons and julbord (Christmas smörgåsbord). Dinner was fine, but after eating the same thing 3 times in 5 days and being limited in what one can eat that doesn't include carbs, I didn't eat very much. I belong to a knitting association in Sweden called Sticka! (Knit!) and the local chapter (Solstickorna - The Sun Knitters) in Karlstad sponsored a fun Saturday afternoon with a speaker, fika (coffee and a sandwich) and knitting in the park yesterday.
