So… work blocked LJ again and it looks like this time it's personal. Unfortunately, LJgate is "temporary unavailable" according to their site. And I can't seem to find an app for my phone since it's not a nifty iPhone (or -esque) type gadget. *le sigh ( Read more... )

Bailed on the SAPA picnic to spend some family time. June is a busy month for both arbiter_of_cool and me-Father's Day is right around the same time as my mom's & his dad's birthday-so we decided to start making good on our promise of family visits. Finished watching the rest of "Harsh Realm" on Friday night, then hit the grocery store on our way to my folks' ( Read more... )

Brief check-in as things are picking up again in AmyLand - met w/mgmt. on aforementioned project. Submitted final draft so am able to begin scheduling a February's high risk branches to train. Boss is back; new project in development (which I sort of knew was coming) is estimated at 500 project hours. Gack! Erk ( Read more... )

Went and saw the marvelous "About Schmidt" last night with mom & dad. For those of you who know my father, this was huge. He doesn't like movies. They are a waste of time. (I thought he'd like "Braveheart" because it's history and epic; he said it was OK - which for him is a glowing review ( Read more... )

Quickie review-had a great time at Movie Night at Chez xkookykrysx and phoenixgoddess. Friends, Muppet therapy and many Gingerbread Men made for a good night. Unfortunately, I got tired relatively early (had a bad month last week) so I cut out around midnight ( Read more... )

I'll provide a detailed report later, but all is well on the post birth mother reunion front. Got home at 10:30pm Tuesday and my parents were at the house, waiting to hear all the details. Spent a frantic day yesterday trying to catch up at work, then had dinner last night with the lovely hartsbayne which was just marvelous ( Read more... )

Had an OK weekend, overall. Spent midday with the mocha-rrific DanceWench, then headed to Mousie's for notes on our shooting strategy for the weekend. I'm not as nervous as I would have thought, but perhaps that's because I can focus on this as a production when I start to freak. What's approrpriate for meeting one's birth mother for the first ( Read more... )
