Well, to be technical, it wasn't a complete snow day today. I woke up for my 8 a.m. class to the unhappy sight of no snow on the ground. But just as I left the house at 7:55 a.m., the first flakes started falling! It is so incredibly cold down here in the family room. I have the curtain by the screen door open so we can let in natural light and not waste electricity, but this also means that the curtain is not blocking out the cold air, which is why we normally keep it closed. I'm finally back, after a 20-hour power outage!! The entire Metro-D.C. area was hit with severe thunderstorms and even tornado warnings in some parts further north of me (I'm not sure if they got any actual tornadoes or just heavy winds). The good: My score on my second chem exam (which I got back today) was four percentage points higher than my first exam.

The bad: I got a 59% on my first exam. This means I earned a whopping 63% on my second one. :(
