I did something this past week that was kind of monumental for me: I got a haircut.

Two posts in one day- and it ended up being a sort of Neil Gaiman-centric day too, because this evening I watched the episode of Doctor Who that he wrote, "The Doctor's Wife," on BBC America. I had heard about it and was interested, so even though I've only seen about 4 episodes of Series 5 and none of Series 6 up till now, I watched anyway.

So I think it says something about me that I went to game night at my church, which consisted of Outburst and Bingo, and had more fun than I've had in a long time. It was hilarious to watch the ladies at church leading the games, and debating rules and when to clear the boards for bingo and everything. First official post of the New Year, and also a fulfillment of my promise to start writing at least once a week in 2009. Really, guys, get on me if I'm not doing that. I almost missed this week.

So since the New Year, almost the only thing I have been doing is marathon-watching Series 4 of "Doctor Who". Yesterday, I finally finished.

When gingerrose and I were in middle and high school, we used to write "Day in the Life" notes to each other. All day, we would keep a kind of journal of the time and what we were doing, and then trade at the end of the day. (We didn't do this every day, obviously.)
