A nice relaxing Bank Holiday weekend (that extra day really makes a difference doesn't it?!). We had Mitchell and Andrew to stay for the weekend, so the main activity was WoW :). I did a little shopping on Saturday morning, cleaned out the guinea pigs, dredged all the duckweed out of the fish pond and cleaned the pump and filter. I also did my ( Read more... )

Got home last night to find the house absolutely BOILING (the plumber had been running the heating system as part of the service). We now have lovely thermostatic controls on all the radiators apart from the bathroom ones, plus the second radiator fitted in the lounge. Bad news though, the plumber has discovered a wet patch in the airing cupboard, ( Read more... )

Got home last night to find the plumber had turned up, and our new gas fire is fitted. It looks very nice, and the colouring matches the television perfectly :)

One radiator is also fitted, with the plumbing in place for the other.

Today he's coming back to fit the second radiator, service the boiler and fit thermostatic controls to the upstairs
