House Update
Well, there seems to have been a spate of house-related posts from my friends, so time for an update on our progress :)
The building work is virtually complete in the lounge. The old fireplace is out, the old fire is out, the old radiator is out. The walls have been stripped and painted, the ceiling, skirtingboards and coving have been painted. The new fire has been delivered and is sat in its box in the garage. The wall mountings for the TV have been fitted (and tested out, and it works well!).
Hopefully on Wednesday the plumber/gas man will come to fit the two new radiators (one either end of the room) and the gas fire. At the same time hopefully giving us thermostatic controls on the upstairs radiators to help regulate the house temperature a bit (it's always too hot upstairs and too cold downstairs).
Once that's all complete we just need the carpet to arrive (no delivery date yet) and then we can start on the dining room :)
In other news, we went out for a very nice Chinese with Claire and Kenton on Tuesday night (was lovely to see them again :)), and we have *probably* sold the Cruiser, but I'm not posting any more details until I have the cash in the bank!
