We got a new-to-us half-grown kitten this weekend. He was outside all night Saturday, I'm pretty sure. At least, we all heard a cat mewling at some point, and since we already have 5 cats ranging in age from 9 years (3 brothers) down to 1 year (Amelia) we all assumed it was one of them being vocal. I'm the proud mamma of a fat cat named Malcolm. He is nine years old, and weighs about 25 pounds. He is the sweetest cat possible - he loves to head-butt me to demand attention and petting. He has a bit of arthritis, but doesn't let that stop him. When he isn't snoozing on the bed or in the patch of sunlight at the top of the stairs, he enjoys ( Read more... )

My brother-in-law has a large passel of kittens that need good homes - two batches, one batch of which are four weeks old and a batch that is five weeks old. One mommy cat is black and white, the other is orange. This morning for brunch with the hubby I decided to try something a little bit different - I got out my Belgian waffle iron and made us each a nice, fresh, toasty brown waffle.
