Kitty Cuteness!
My wee little ginger kitty is very photogenic!
So Jess went out and bought a large box - I think it's maybe 4' x 3' or thereabouts, and a few feet tall - so that we could keep Amelia out of harm's way in the computer room, and help get her used to using the litter box. She sort of knows what the litter box is for, but has been just going in random dark corners, like under the desk and such. When she was out on the deck at my BIL's house they used random potted plants as litter boxes, LOL. Anyway, We have a small litter box for her (about half the size of an average one) that fits nicely into one corner of the cardboard box, with her food and water bowl in the opposite corner, and enough room for her to wander around in there. There's also a pad in the box for added comfort.
She's such an adorable kitten - loves to cuddle and will turn over and show us her wee belly and let me rub it. She sometimes tries to nibble/suck on my fingers the way that Kara does, although she's so tiny she sometimes nips a bit. She purrs quite a lot too!
I was off work today since hubby had his laser ablation procedure this morning, to fix (ie: collapse) a varicose vein in his left leg. He has a full-length pressure stocking to wear for the next week, and has to keep his leg elevated when he's not up walking around. He will be off work for the next two weeks, which is good. I go back to work tomorrow, but he's at home and able to fend for himself.
