Cardinals and blue jays have FINALLY (after two years) discovered the bird feeder on the tree in my front yard and they are swooping all over the place fighting with each other and cheeping. I love it.

And so does EVE.

Len had his first soccer game of the season this weekend. He had a little trouble remembering that when you're goalie, you're probably better off watching the ball than fussing with your glasses or posing for anyone who might happen to be taking pictures of you. Heh ( Read more... )

It was a stupid idea for me to try to get more storage in my kitchen.

I looked up the situation online and apparently there is NO way for me to hang this potrack unless I either

1) Remove the kitchen ceiling and add 2x4s or
2) Remove the upstairs carpet, carpet pad, and flooring, and add 2x4s

Neither of those is ever going to happen, so, no

STUPID F*CKING SMOKE ALARMS GOING OFF ALL DAMN NIGHT. Poor Will tore two of them out of the ceiling, and then we discovered the one we'd torn out of Len's room had COME BACK TO LIFE and was beeping too. SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK.

Up till past 2. SUCK.
