Len and I are all booked for Dragon Con, and mostly ready with costume pieces. Should be a good time, especially if I can work out the cash flow issue by then.

For now, just trying to get things in order. With Mom's help, the kids' room, the hallway, and the laundry area are now painted!

Over the weekend, I completed my second 5K in as many Saturdays. This one was the Neon Run, and I took both of my kids (8 and 3), and my nephew Fred (6), to it. All of us finished under our own power! Ciar asked me, once, to carry him, but accepted the "No" and kept walking. My parents are leaving their house soon and moving a little further away. The new place is smaller so I've inherited some more furniture. Probably a bit more than I need, but we also got a set of dining chairs over to Goodwill, and another set out of my garage and into their house. I have so much stuff to do between now and Monday morning it's not even funny. A lot of my work projects are coming to an end so I have to get them wrapped up accordingly. And this weekend I am heading to Melbourne for a drumming thing (fragbert, I won't have free time so that is why I did not mention earlier that I would be in the area). Cardinals and blue jays have FINALLY (after two years) discovered the bird feeder on the tree in my front yard and they are swooping all over the place fighting with each other and cheeping. I love it.

And so does EVE.

The rest of last weekend went well. Saturday afternoon the kids both refused to nap but my dad took them to the History Center downtown, so that was good. Then femcure and I drove out with the kids to Clermont to a party at Brandy and Bill's, at which bsmknight was also in attendance ( Read more... )
