Anata and I wanted to get a quick bite before hitting up the movie theatre. Since we were going to Riverport, we thought we'd try Pho Ten since it's close by and it always seemed like an interesting place for a pho joint. I was in the mood for something more casual and cutesy, so I picked out Leisure Tea to try. It's a very quaintly decorated place, with wooden beams and benches, teacups, and artwork all over. Their plates and cups are all kind of mismatching and pretty with old-fashioned charm.

We've passed by it so many times, but never thought about stopping by until last week. So Anata and I finally went to Gigi's Pizza and Spaghetti House :) It seems to be one of those neighbourhood institutions since it's been there for so long. Despite all the jokes and remarks that my friends and I have about #9 Restaurant, it's not a bad choice. As a 24-hour restaurant it's very accessible, and since it's located at Landsdowne it's even easier to get to as there's the skytrain station and the mall parking. I was feeling like Mexican food, but not quite wanting tacos, so after browsing around I thought to try Salsa and Agave in Yaletown. I'd heard good things about this restaurant, and was really interested in trying out their Aztec soup. Good thing too! It was a cold evening and I was feeling a little sniffly by the time we sat down.

Anata and I dropped by Specialty Chicken & Wonton House for dinner one night. It's located in a plaza with ample parking, and seems pretty typical Cantonese style food.
