Anata and I were in the mood for some Japanese food, so I picked out Kingyo as our dinner venue for the night. We managed to score free street parking, and when I called in to make a reservation the lady on the phone said that they were full for the tables, but would still be taking walk ins during the night and we could try our luck. Kamamarui Ramen is located in Burnaby near the intersection of Royal Oak and Kingsway. I spotted the place last year when I was running errands, but Anata and I didn't get around to trying the place until last week ( Read more... )

Anata and I headed out for a quick late night bite. We haven't eaten at a Japanese-fusion pasta place for a while, and everytime we're downtown there's this one restaurant that we end up bypassing in favour of ramen...  So today, we thought we'd try Café de l'Orangerie. Anata and I stopped here for a quick bite on a weekday night. Gyo-O is part of the Gyoza King group of restaurants, and the quality is usually quite good. For this location they specialise in udon and donburi options, with a few appies and of course their signature gyoza.

Anata was in the mood for "something Japanese" so we ended up at Zakkushi for dinner. The place is located in the same plaza as Beefy Beef but at the corner and the parking spots even more limited; we ended up parking on Main St.

Anata and I were around Richmond together for lunch, so we thought we'd hit up Kiriri. It always seemed like one of those places where the offerings were "limited" but the food was well done. Kiriri is located in the Blundell Plaza and there is parking available though I can see how it can be limited depending on the business and hours.

We were in Richmond and decided to eat at Gmen. Three of us total at the table tonight. Parking at the lot behind the restaurant was full, but the street parking is free after 9pm.
