I really love this late summer/early fall time of year. It's not as brutally hot as the summer, but it still stays light late enough to go bike-riding after dinner. I have been a serious bike-riding beast all this summer. I walked into temple on Friday night, saw that the sanctuary was dark and empty, and wondered why in heck Shabbat services had been cancelled before I realized that they were actually being held in the outdoor temple. Although I hate the fact that winter is approaching, I still really love fall. The days and nights are cooling off now, and for me, cooler weather means one thing: the Highy Holy Days. Today was Rosh Hashanah, and the temple held morning and evening services, but I didn't go to either.
