My birthday was a quiet one this year, which was fine with me. The timing of our vacation worked out that it pretty much counted as one big birthday presented. The days and nights are cooling off now, and for me, cooler weather means one thing: the Highy Holy Days. Today was Rosh Hashanah, and the temple held morning and evening services, but I didn't go to either. I haven't made an update in a while because Sara and I traveled back to Louisiana for the Memorial Day weekend. We made the trip in Muse Watson, and he made really good time, although we did get pulled over in the forest (not for speeding). I got to enjoy a rolling birthday this year. We recently discovered that the movie theater in the mall shows vintage movies on weeknights, so on Thursday evening, Ben, Adam, and I went to see Lawrence of Arabia. This is me and Grandma, on my birthday three years ago (which I posted about back here). It's not the best photo of Grandma because she's looking at the cake instead of the camera, but I still love it. I love the glow of the candles, and how you can see Grandma's old kitchen behind us. It makes me happy and sad at the same time.
