My voice seems to be a little better, but I'm wheezing. And exhausted: I went to Target this morning--out for about half an hour--then came home and napped for over an hour. My throat hurt a bit when I got home, too, although I didn't say more than five words to anyone the whole time.

So, the bronchitis never really went away, although it was better after the course of antibiotics. Last night, it turned abruptly worse, and this morning my chest was tight. I didn't know if I should try to go back to the doctor today or wait until Monday; I called first thing this morning to make an appointment either way, and they fit me in ( Read more... )

It's official: I have both bronchitis and a sinus infection. I knew that already, but now that's it's official I have something else important: antibiotics.

I actually lost my voice briefly this morning. It started to go as I was winding up my morning stint at the reference desk, and disappeared entirely when I was leaving the desk. Waiting by the elevator to go back upstairs, I coughed something out, and my voice came back ( Read more... )

The cough has lasted over a week now without improvement. Combination of my rescue inhaler and Robitussin DM have been keeping it under control, but I can't keep taking those around the clock. Especially since Robitussin eventually makes me a touch drowsy (to my doctor's surprise). Started on antibiotics this morning. If that doesn't get rid of it ( Read more... )

The worst of the cold has passed, but I'm still pretty tired and--worst of all--the cough came back. Now that's lingering. And it's not really responding to the rescue inhaler this time around.

My usual late-summer cough is right on schedule. Dammit. Accompanied this time by my semi-occasional sinus infection. Double-dammit.
