In honor of his birthday there have been several events this week including a nice deal on the deluxe editions of his two Columbia albums from Pop Market. These are amazing records which every self respecting music fan should at least hear

"Reggae superstar Peter Tosh and another man known as 'Doctor' were shot dead at the singer's Plymouth Avenue home at about 8:30 last night. Twenty-five years after his murder, Peter Tosh, was awarded The Jamaican Order of Merit (O.M.), one of the Nation's highest honors for his outstanding contributions to Jamaican culture.
