At home, Michael helped harvest about 10 garlic bulbs.

At the community garden, Jana got busy retiring her peas. She cut up her plants and filled the bucket 3 times before she let me talk her into leaving.

Friday, I took the opportunity to plant more Wando peas. I don't know why I forgot do inoculate the first batch, but I remembered this time. I also remembered to just press the seeds in instead of planting in holes. Last year, this made such a difference in germination and strength of the plants.

We did have some fun with our harvests. I'm really glad that Michael talked me into growing a variety of herbs, boy, they really add to cooking. And then there's garlic, garlic, garlic!

We made our first pasta sauce from scratch this week. Tried some eggplant parmesan and even fried green tomatoes.
