The night before last we traveled into NYC for the annual SWFA gathering. It was fun to see old friends and make a couple of new ones. It was a long day yesterday but things got done and it ended with a trip into NYC for a gathering of Sf/fantasy professionals. It was good to see friends and meet new people. By the time we got home it was late, cold and the rain was bucketing down.

The sun stayed out long enough for me to get out into the garden and get the grass…ahh, weeds…cut, raked up and disposed of by putting it into the compost bin. We had one of those wonderful power cuts supplied by our power company yesterday. No warning that they were going to work on the lines, no they just cut the power irrespective of work their clients are doing. Instead of making dinner at home we went out to our local Thai.
