Another Loan!
During the wee hours of the morning another of my Kiva loans paid back enough for me to go reloan $25 of the money that I started out with a year ago. In one year I have helped fund over 12 loans with the initial birthday money I used. I was able this time to put that loan towards the lending group I started Quilters International. Cool! Want to know about Kiva…go look: http://www.Kiva.org

Fall is upon us
Today we will get the first of our oil tank fill ups for the year. Since gas has gone down a bit - we paid $2.99 to fill up the car yesterday - I hope fuel oil has followed suit. Last years heating oil bills were way up from previous years although residing the house and added insulation helped. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The Passing of Forest Grump
My sister lost her dog Forest on Sunday. Having gone through the loss of a pet earlier this year I know exactly how she is feeling. Hopefully, after a bit of time goes by she will find be able to open her heart and adopt another one. Although it will not fill the void left by Forest, new four-legged family members are a joy.
