The two choirs I accompany for are performing in a choral music festival tomorrow.

Program for the Middle School:
Je Le Vous Dirai! (I'll Tell You Waht I Know!) A madrigal. If I could just get all of the notes, all of the time, it would be funner to play. I don't think they'd like to sing it at my preferred tempo. ;)

This week I was able to locate sheet music for a couple of pieces that greatly inspired me to learn to play piano.

The first is a piece called A Morning with the Roses by Richard Dworsky.

On Sunday, I met with a friend who plays cello and her friend who plays violin and we sight read through parts of trios by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Vivaldi and Schubert. We settled on the Schubert, Trio in Eb Op. 100. It's my first trio! \o/ I've got the first four pages in my fingers, at slow tempo (Q=60-69). My goal is to get 2 pages a day into my ( Read more... )

The weather has been gorgeous this weekend! \o/

Yesterday, I rode my bike to rehearsal and did some errands. I checked with google maps and it looks like I put in about 18 miles altogether. o_O

I'm in the kitchen having my dinner (shrimp stir fry) and surfing the web. Don't have wireless at home, so this is rather novel! Pandora is set to my favorite station and is playing all my favorite songs. It's making me feel a bit nostalgic. Ah, good memories!
