I played my church gig Thursday morning. It meant I couldn't participate in the local Run for Food 5K race, so myself and a friend ran it after church. We opted to run the trail rather than the park road. Much more scenic that way. It was a bit nippy but the sun was shinning. Thanksgiving lunch at grandma's in the afternoon. On Sunday, I met with a friend who plays cello and her friend who plays violin and we sight read through parts of trios by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Vivaldi and Schubert. We settled on the Schubert, Trio in Eb Op. 100. It's my first trio! \o/ I've got the first four pages in my fingers, at slow tempo (Q=60-69). My goal is to get 2 pages a day into my ( Read more... )
