I can finally feel the delicate whisper of spring finally finally sweeping in. For all that I am still voiceless with a nasty cold and winter clothes strewn about, clompy snow boots by the door and rain jacket hung in near proximity, I am finally starting to feel a hint of warmth settle into my bones.

There is something - or several somethings - living in the corner roof of my room. I heard either fighting or f**king earlier today when I came home. I almost fell on my ass a couple of times because my Doc Martens have no grip. I need to buy snow boots this weekend, or at least something that I can walk outside in.

It is winter in Melbourne and I am cold, though the temperature is only in the 40's and 50's which I suspect isn't all that cold (but cold enough!). Luckily, because it is cold in here the cat has decided to grace my lap with her sleepy presence once again - and this has become a near daily event, probably due to the cold. I hate winter. I really do. I never want to go out, I'm constantly cold, and I end up sitting on my ass eating junk food in front of my computer - well, moreso than usual anyway.
