I can finally feel the delicate whisper of spring finally finally sweeping in. This trip to California has not been the best...

• First off, I am exhausted (though that started even before this trip). I've had neck pain for over a week now and absolutely no energy. January will be a very stressful month for me. I'm kind of dreading it but I just need to square my shoulders and push through onto February.

My NYE was very simple; I watched movies with Thom and we didn't even notice that the year turned over until after it was done. There was no fuss, no muss, and just simple. It was a nice change of pace.

I was fine on Friday. I woke up with a nasty cold on Saturday morning. Body aches galore!

So another birthday has come to pass. Unfortunately on that self-same day I caught the cold of doom which is continuing to plague me today. It hurts to swallow, my throat is so sore.
