So another birthday has come to pass. Unfortunately on that self-same day I caught the cold of doom which is continuing to plague me today. It hurts to swallow, my throat is so sore.

Yeah, so yesterday wasn't the best day though I assumed as much when I signed up for this Masters' seminar course. But I did get a surprise cake in the middle of class which was great. I almost cried. I really appreciated the effort that went into that to try and make my birthday better.

Woke up and tumbled out of the house by 9:45 to be in Namba by 10 so I could try to snag an OzzOn bag but at 10 they were bloody busy and I'm given the that either they sold out of fukubukuros by 10 (quite probably, seeing the crowd!), or they didn't do any this year?! I tried to rally today (this cold won't get me down!!) and met up with a friend in Kobe, my first ever visit to the area. We went to a ukiyo-e exhibit in a museum, apparently shipped from England's Victoria and Albert museum. Hmm, Ok. Apparently Europe has more ukiyo-e prints than Japan.
