I think cats came to rule the world from another planet but got too cuddly to care and gave up

they transmit a parasite that makes rodents and also humans affectionate toward them

like i was just thinking the other day how cats must have evolved to be perceived as irresistibly cute by humans

They know us so well and are master manipulators with their face expressions and voices

also cats only meow at each other when they're kittens so basically every time your cat meows at you, they are saying "i'm baby"

how can we resist?

It's barely a conspiracy theory at this point but mine is: the planned obsolescence of p much all modern electronics is, well, planned, but also integrated into the interests of cell carriers & other parties, not just the actual manufacturers. IE apple plans their shit bugging out & slowing down when it's beneficial to them and also companies like T-mobile. it's so wild how there are a handful of lawsuits about them slowing down phones but nothing concrete that's treated as public knowledge

Also not a conspiracy but in certain dictatures, they're shutting down the cell service around the time of elections' results so that people don't riot when the rigged results are out.

That sounds insane considering the amount of people who no longer have landlines. Well, I guess if you were planning on committing a crime, that would be the best time to do it. :/

It’s not even a conspiracy theory because it’s true I just want more people to know that like 99% of buttons to cross the street do absolutely nothing

I like the ones around here because they announce that the walk sign is on. It’s like it’s telling me to be patient (and also may help vision-impaired folks as a side benefit).

I think airplane mode was legit back in the day but no way it's an issue given that wifi on flights exists? but idk

not low stakes but did anyone ever go down the MK Ultra popstar rabbit hole and it sounded legit lmao

yeah i dont think airplane mode serves an actual purpose anymore other than to save battery since you won't get cell service while in the air
