Well, I have news. My friend Weeble, who I have mentioned on here before, has been living in an apartment on Monument Avenue. It isn’t a very good apartment, but you pay extra for the return address on your letters saying “Monument Avenue.” Her rent is easily $200 more per month than her place is actually worth. I like nicknames, in part because I have trouble remembering people’s actual names. It is just easier to call men “brother” or “baby” and women “sister” or “sweetheart,” depending on how close the relationship is. Yesterday there was a job fair on campus for the various school-owned restaurants and cafeterias and so forth. Of course I went. My friend Weeble, formerly the day manager at Assanté’s when I worked there, recently lost her job, so I told her about the job fair and invited her to come along.
