It seems to me that this was a common complaint when I was a kid, at least in our neighborhood. "There are paw prints all over my car!"

Does anyone else experience this, these days? Did it happen in your neighborhood when you were a kid?

I'm fighting persistent gloom, due (I think) to the season change.  Tell me, would "Single Father" distract me, or shatter me?

(My flist has been so good about avoiding spoilers and cutting their reactions that all I really know is that they're continuing to watch.)  

I have a number of lengths of good quality uncut fabric (mostly wool, linen, and cotton) that I bought for various tailoring projects back in the day and never did anything with. I'd like to try selling them on eBay ( Read more... )

If you live in an apartment, with firewalls between apartments but no soundproofing, at what time in the morning does it become acceptable to:

1. Start using a treadmill;
2. Start the washer;
3. Start the dryer;
4. Make use of a vacuum cleaner?

How come no reaction posts to S05E08? I'm genuinely curious. Was everybody out enjoying the sunshine? Did everybody just spontaneously decide to give posting a miss this week? Or was some collective tipping point reached and nobody really cares anymore?

Seriously. It's not important in the bigger scheme of things, but I'd really like to know.

When you say you're an "Nth-generation American" (or Canadian, or Kiwi, or wherever), do you reckon from the branch of the family that's been there the longest, or the shortest?

(I suppose it depends on what point you intend to make with the information. But is there a standard?)

S. and I were talking about American remakes of British television, and I said I thought I remembered that a British film was actually being remade right now by an American studio with Americans.
