I cooked a huge pot of gumbo yesterday. I have I ever discussed how much I love, love, love jarred roux?? It seems like the lazy girl way out, and it is, but it is so much better than what I could ever do, it just seems like the right choice. I just got back from the Saints victory parade that was scheduled last week, once we found out that we were going to the superbowl. That was really good enough for us. It's hard to believe it has been a week already since we had Dim Sum on Lafayette Blvd. in Marerro (EDIT: or Gretna ....off-west-bank expressway) in celebration of notyourmama2's birthday.
