Wow. January wasn't too bad, but Ol' Man Winter seems to be making up for lost time this month, starting with Feb. 1. Had a ton of snow fall that day. We've had a couple big storms but then they were always followed by a warm period- then a cold plunge again, creating a lot of ice. Between meetings and a busy workweek, and extra rehearsals for Messiah (which is Saturday- wow!) it's been a crazy busy week so far. Last weekend we saw snowflakes. This past Monday it was 60s. This past Tuesday it nearly hit 70. Wednesday it barely got to mid-30s. Thursday and Friday saw a foot-plus of snow being dumped in the snow belt (about 30 miles northeast of me). Today it was crisp but sunny out. March came roaring in like a lion, with a big snow and frigid temperatures. This week was up and down. 60s on Monday, followed by storms again by Wednesday, with lows in the single digits. Yesterday it was 50s again. Today I think was 40s, colder but still pretty mild. Tomorrow will be 20s, but by the middle of next week it will be 50s ( Read more... )

I read somewhere that it had rained every day save one the last five days of June. It rained every day in Northeast Ohio in early July, at least in some areas, culminating into a drenching two-hour downpour this past Wednesday.
