I walk the Walk of the Righteous today, for I have exercised.  My shiny new heart rate monitor tells me I burned 677 calories this morning, my first trip back to my gym in weeks.

My gym got broken into yesterday, as well as the Games Room and other areas of Union South where I work.  These buildings are on opposite ends of town.  People suck.

I love guys who are unthreatened by my technical prowess!  A guy just came into the lab hoping desperately that I could help him find the file he'd been working on for days.  I found it and he was incredibly grateful, with no sign of the condescending yet resentful attitude that so frequently arises when I help someone male with their computer.  ( Read more... )

Why does my computer lab shift seem to last four million hours this semester?  I'm bored out of my skull and the clock seems to be super slow.  I've watched two episodes of Gossip Girl and one of Bionic Woman (hello femmeslash on both of them, btw) and still I'm at loose ends.

Okay, new rule.  If you're a guy in his 30s, you can't wear a T-shirt that says, "Boobies Make Me Smile," even on a college campus.  This rule should always apply to everyone, but especially so in this particular situation.  You creep me out, dude.

Sad sadness.  I was running late and I'm out of sandwich fixings at home, so I grabbed a frozen meal for lunch at the computer lab today.  Denied!  The Games Room is closed, along with its handy microwave, and I am sad.  No sandwiches or anything vaguely resembling meals in the "Quick Byte", so I am reduced to buying potato chips.  This is not ( Read more... )

I cannot believe I lost that entire post.  I'm never going to recreate that.  That has got to be the worst design decision ever, deleting the draft when you switch from Rich Text to HTML.  Sometimes I really hate this place and the fact that I can't go without it.  Augh.
