Internet's been down in the apartment for a week now. They're supposed to be there to fix it by the end of the day, but I'm highly doubting that this is going to happen. Not pleased about that. Well, thanks to a Knoppix Linux Live CD and an 80 GB portable hard drive, I was able to retrieve everything I needed from my dying laptop. It's becoming more and more apparent to me that the problem must be with the hard drive.
