Dropped my laptop on Sunday before we headed home to Logan. Yeah... *headdesk* That was bad. Anyway, I thought it was fine for a while, until I noticed a problem that wasn't going away. It's been a long time, and I've been busy. Been working on a program for a friend of my dad's. Apparently he wrote a database application to manage for this friend to help manage their auction business. So, the new card runs the UT3 demo at 1280x800 with other graphics settings all the way up, and only the occasional hiccup. It appears to happen when new things get added to the map, like if I enter an area I haven't been in before and it has to render/cache the textures really fast. Well, I looked at that one and the performance benchmarks all over the internet were saying that it just didn't do as well as I was kind of expecting it to. Which was a bit of a disappointment.
