I've been baking up a storm. I've got six small loaves of Christmas Stollen ready to go into the oven. I've got another couple of trays of Spritz to go in and a batch of Chocolate Chip cookies to bake as well. I'm glad we put off Family Christmas from today since Alida has a cold as does Desmond. I made a triple batch of Christmas stollen. I filmed part of it, but then my camera wouldn't film anymore as it didn't have anymore room for it.

I probably should have frozen the dough, then cooked it all the day before our Christmas celebration this weekend. Now I have six loaves made and cooked. They won't be so fresh on the weekend. Humph.

Daniel and Abe came home with Willem tonight. I have spent the evening making pies with Daniel. I showed him the Joy of Cooking where it teaches about ingredients and such, and then we worked on making a lemon meringue pie, lemon filling, then the pie crust, then the meringue, putting them together and baking it ( Read more... )
