Just finished watching the documentary Backstreet Boys: Show me what you're made of, which is less a documentary and more a very slickly produced and pretty advertisement for their 20th anniversary tour and album. It's been pretty quiet around these parts thanks to the holidays, which has been nice. Relaxing. It occurred to me that this is the first Christmas I've spent in the US in... quite a few years. It's interesting.

It's been busy times about these parts! Moving to a new apartment, working at a new job, meeting approximately three billion new people--lots of new going on here. 1. Saw Brave a few weeks ago, which was cute enough, but not one of my favorites from Pixar. Still, I am happy to see that it did pretty well in box offices and will hopefully persuade studios to make more kids movies featuring female protagonists. 1. Went to visit the BFF M yesterday. We went to see The Descendents featuring George Clooney, which was slow paced but decent, and had one of my favorite lines in a while (give your kids enough to do something, but not enough to do nothing). 1. I went and saw the Million Dollar Quartet last week, which was a fun sort of Behind the Music-y Broadway show feartuing the music/characters of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins. Good music, thin story, but fun.
