It's Santa's little sweatshop.

It's been pretty quiet around these parts thanks to the holidays, which has been nice. Relaxing. It occurred to me that this is the first Christmas I've spent in the US in... quite a few years. It's interesting.

Seen some shows: The Barber of Seville at the Metropolitan Opera, Silence! The Musical, The Anarchist & Glengarry Glen Ross in a Mamet double feature, and a pretty good comedy show featuring Todd Barry, Jeneane Garofalo, Jim Gaffigan, and Lewis Black.

It's also been a good season for movies! I saw Lincoln, in which Daniel Day-Lewis was phenomenal andZero Dark Thirty, which was long but excellent. I also saw Worlds Away, the Cirque Du Soleil movie, which was very pretty but pretty much incoherent plot wise; it is, as one critic put it, a sampler of all of Cirque's Las Vegas shows. Like a giant trailer for the shows in a movie format. Still, enjoyable for me as a diehard Cirque fan (though others in the theater were grumbling).

I finished Assassin's Creed 3 and have replayed Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, plus am playing (for the first time) Assassin's Creed Revelations. It's all out of order, but still enjoyable.

Happy holidays, everyone! Hope things are looking grand in the new year!
